Passport

Good morning all
I’m new to this site and need some advice please. i’m looking at buying a horse but the owner said they bought the horse on the wrong passport ...is that a definite no no for me to buy? thanks in advance for any help.

I would want more info, why have they not sorted it out? is it chipped? I would definitely get it vetted if you go ahead and do some research on the history you can find as there may be a reason the passport is not correct other than a genuine mistake.
