Well My wee project was purchased as rising 5, checked teeth and questioned owner, thought more like rising 4!! Passport says she will now be 5. Both me my OH and our vet all agree that she is 4. What is the best thing to do as she is to sell on

Funny you should say this, my boy is the opposite! Bought him as a 4 year old, says so on his passport. He had the dentist last week and she confirmed he is AT LEAST 5!

Mutley - How do you go about applying for a new passport? His is all in Dutch and has nothing but a name and (wrong) date of birth!

just get one from someone like petplan. vet fills in your marking page and jobs done. if you are not breading or competing to too higher level. have met many horses with more than one passport.

You do know it's an offence to have more than one passport for a horse? People say that the passport system is a joke, but people abusing it like this are not helping!

At what age was the horse issued with a passport op?

Actually what Mutley suggests is against the law. Contact the original passport issuer and see if they can help.

Could be worse.Picasso's passport says he's 22 now my equine dentist says he's closer to 32...me I say he's as old as he thinks he is :D

Are you sure it#s the passport at fault not him just being immature? It'd be pretty odd for a breed passport to be out as they have to be done carefully. Maybe contact the stud or look up the stallions progency if you know the breeding?

I got the same problem jingle my ponies passport says she 16 and the vet reckons definatly over over 25 but nearer 30!!! I almost what to get it changed to give her the credit for looking so good at such an age but is that just silly?
