We've just moved house and we've managed to have hay cut from some of our land. There's some leftover dried grass lying aroung - how long before we can put the horses on this newly-cut pasture? Will this dried grass that's lying around have the same effect on them as grass clippings 
or, because it's the same stuff as is baled up in the shed, will it be OK to put them on that land after a week or so (as we need to get the field we were grazing them on topped and harrowed.)
Sorry if this is a real numpty question ... just never had own land before and the yard we were at always bought in hay so no-one I have easy access to has much of an idea either. Planning to check with vet this week too
