Well, my last two novice tests..had to win both to qualify for winters so after begging lift from a lady at our yard we were off (the box I use is still rampless!!)
Patchetts has made some improvements, the lorry park now has new tarmac and seems larger, the outdoor warm-up has had more surface and rode well. "Mister" aka Freestyler, was full of spirit which was nice! He is less behind vertical and using his butt a little more, so am I !!
Went in to do test, first part going really well, THEN a friends friend decided to walk up the side in the middle of my test and take piccies with her phone camera complete with flash...AHHHHHHHHGGGGGG!!
I was very peeved as Mister spotted her and decided to leap for a couple of strides whilst we were cantering... I lost my concentration. I came out really really pissed....fuming in fact!! Luckily though I managed a 70.80! Thinks the Judge was rather nice!
Anyway, I did not know my score before I went into second test, was still a wee bit annoyed, Mister had not really had time to relax before his next test. We were in ring next to the jumps which were placed outside the arena, he spooked at them, I reacted, first part of test was pants, second part much better... got 66.95...
So I won first and came = 3rd in second...I know I should be pleased but I was really bugged by the fact that I got so upset about my first test, so I suppose I took it out on Mister when he messed around in second test rather than just ignoring him spooking!!! I need some psychology lessons on pressure!!! Never mind, taught me a lesson today... dont take things tooooooo seriously!! He was a good boy, just wanted to have a bit of fun!!
