Thinking of going to a show there Sunday - I have jumped indoors which has been good. Enjoyed the shows.

Whats it like outdoors? Do they build to height? Busy? Big classes? Do they use the smaller outdoor ring near the car park as a warm up?

Thanks for your help.

Yer to all of your questions, whenever ive been its always been busy, and up to height. Often its busy enough you have to park over the bridge.
And yes warm up is the small arena by the clubhouse. But it think its well worth it as it there as its a good show well run well maintained arenas.

What's it like outdoors?
Very nice, good surface.

Do they build to height?
Yep.

Busy?
Yes!

Big classes?
Yes!

Do they use the smaller outdoor ring near the car park as a warm up?
Yep!

Its my nearest show venue (literally 2mins down the road) and I love it! Great cafe, good surfaces etc The only thing I could fault them on is that i think they should have someone stewarding the warm up properly as it can get very over crowded and its really not big enough to cope with about 20 riders in at once! But it's a lovely venue and I highly recommend it :D

I'm going Sunday :) it is my local venue very friendly and well run. I wouldn't say the jumps are massive just normal not too spooky in the earlier classes prob about 30-40 per class it usually gets quieter for the bigger classes.

Fab thanks everyone. Have the choice between Patchetts or Yateley? Yateley is a lot closer but I would prefer to stay on a surface than grass if I can.

Will give them a call and see what times they have in mind as I am a couple of hours away.

Lovely showground, warm up surface rubbish, arena surface ok-ish if it has rained, not all horses like it, tracks usually friendly compared to other local venues, never wide. Nice people. I'm going Sunday too. :)

I seem to have the opposite opinion to everyone else! :D It is a nice show ground though, and the tack shop is outstanding! (summer sale on as well I believe)

I love the tack shop and cafe!! I have never found the surfaces/warm up a problem (warm up bigger than most!!), and don't think they build particularly big. When moving up a class I would always choose there as I don't think the tracks are particularly strong. Well run, but yes, usually v.busy. Have fun! :)

I was supposed to go last weekend for the showing show but decided to air on the side of caution as there was a confirmed strangles outbreak close by.

As for the facilities - very nice - good course both inside and out, great cafe, super shop and nice people.
