My rescue ponies feet need trimming desperately. I'm am trying to find a kind patient farrier who'll spend time with him to do his feet without having to dope him. His feet were initially trimmed under sedation as it was such a massive job - they were grossly overgrown and curled up.
He is unsure of people picking his feet up. I am now able to touch his legs and feet, but not hold them or lift them for more than a second or 2, but he is improving every day. Today the vet managed to have a good feel and lift them, so it can be done but patience is required! He is only 2, and as far as we know hasn't been handled much before.
Any recommendations? I've had a few, but there is either a massive wait as they are so busy or they will have to travel quite a distance so will charge loads

) . I use to sedate my youngster and we can now get 1/2 a set on with no sedation (hallelujah !) PM for his number
