Wow some very interesting entries there!
I have a feeling poor ODT may fail with CC, its had as many stops xc as clears this year, and DI looks quite inexperienced, oh well, I suppose he has ruined all of his other 4* rides!
There seems to be quite a few Blenheim refugees, those who have maybe done one cci 3* and have decided to do a 4*, would never happen with badders or burghley.
Quite a few olympic horses there too
 
I see what you mean eventerlad, I wouldn't dream of taking a horse 4* till i've been round at least two 3*'s!! It seems that people perceive Pau perhaps as a different standard to Badders and Burghley??? I thought that a 4* would mean exactly that. In fact looking at the entries one person didn't even go clear in their only CCI*** they did.
 
I definitely think it's seen as a 3.5* but I seem to remember it was rather tough last year. Certainly would be in no rush to be riding one or two of the entries round a 4*!!!!!

Time wil tell.....
 
there was nothing three star ish about it last year IMO, plenty of technical fences with lots run outs and a few falls. some people may find that out the hard way eh Flo. and i willl be ther by thurday x
 
good we can have a HHo french meet i will be in press tent from thursday lunchtime. might be there 24/7 as having a slight hotel drama at the moment!! they have double booked me or something so who knows where i will be staying x
