so lord knows if and when the cross will start scheduled for 230 but its not lifting yet! couple more pics will be on pic gallery shortly x

That explains why the live streaming is not working! I thought it was my computer!

weather cleared nicholas in the lead, pippa had some time but is still third nicholson second mary 4th niall griffinn 5th zara fell second water, ruth fell 23 double of houses, whittington run out at first water, abli guigni pulled up when horse felt lame lawrence pulled up after run out, matt had unlucky run out first water then fab, emily clear but slow went long most places, lea ryder round but several stops think jade rounds as well but missed her as was in the lo queue sorry will find out asap xx

To say I am not shocked about Leah or Zara is an understatement. Those two should never have been competing at 4* level.

Will ensign keep the fences up?? Amazing first run for Mary King on IC they must all be thrilled. Andrew Nicholson is having an up and down season nothing would surprise me if he did well tomorrow.

Bit harsh, she got around. DS is a very experienced horse, he was 3* when I worked with him 6 years ago. Just because someone has a couple of stops doesn't mean they shouldn't be at that level...if that was the case half of Badminton and Burghley shouldn't be there.

Well done pippa! good xc round at her first 4* for a while! she is also 4th in the big field in the 2* competition!
Pleased PT is up there too. Great for Mary and her new ride

thought pippa was most determined and yoshi rode really well as well and i did get some pics will try and load some now but wait for backstage to put hers on they are fab x

lol glad ensign went clear as well! I like ex racers doing well after getting one and he has been going well this season!
I really like Yoshi enjoyed watching him at Badders a few years ago!

Looking forward to pics

lol thanks for them! I have been viewing them all! you have a fantastic eye for the photographs!
Do you live over there?

Hi backstage !
really enjoyed meeting you ! And what a great photographer you are...
Sharing that press conference with you, lucretia, Nico, Andrew and Piippa was great fun wasn't it ?
Hope you have a great time during the rest of your stay in France

Yes, the riders' feedback was fantastic: A true 4*.Pippa even said she wished Michelet would come to UK to buil a couple for them
grin.gif

Andrew backed her on that so from that point of view, nothing to complain about.
What I didn't think was up to 4* standards:
The village with trade stands was pretty poor
General organisation forthe public: Parking, signposting, etc... which were dismal
frown.gif

Several electricity breakdowns, so no TV screens working and...no expressso coffee

lol good to know it was a true 4* course and not a 3.4* course many people thought it would be.
Shame somethings were not 4* event standards. However I expect this will come.
did the course cause problems?

Thanks! And I do live here, temporarily anyway. I'm Canadian but doing a semestre exchange in Lyon...so I figured it was a good plan to hop a train and come to Pau.

I would completely agree with blackeventer's assessment. I was pleasantly surprised by the course, there were some tough elements. The administrative details were not the event's stregth, though I'm sure that and other things (like the small trade fair) will improve in the future.

Only 4 riders clear inside the time and about 60% suffered run outs or other mishaps...
The fish in the second water and the sharp turn getting out of the third water caused trouble too.
Pia Hantsu's horse was hurt - hopefully not too serious, I hope - but thank god, nothing major in terms of falls and injuries...
