I cant make the site play - how have you accessed the live play ?

First try to get on the Equidia site, then look for Equidia watch.
I am not sure if you can access it in the uk, would recommend the live scoring on the Pau site.
Gwendoline Fer for France has just completed the most amazing round, on a super genuine horse, France are first and second at this early stage, will update soon.
Most riders are wearing air jackets by the way!
The course is proving tricky as predicted.

Thanks JCW. Have been looking at the results (so far) on line and see that the XC is causing quite a few probs. What happened to Sharon Hunt & Kenny? - see that they retired.

and another airjacket has gone off, this time a Lithuanian? The organisers are very sparing with the captions, its difficult to understand whose going round, the second jump into the lake has had running repairs.

William, mr stickability, marvellous
Class round ,goes in to the lead,51.2
and Bless him, gives his post round interview in French too
Fantastic

Very unlucky run out for Sharon,no chance of jumping from where she was due to ground undulations I think, flying round now, goes 16th

William 51.2
Karin 58.6
Next Brit is 9th Ruth
and 12th Oliver
Plenty of action, well worth watching if you can sometime, thats all for now!!

Thanks for the running commentary. Brought back a few memories... I did a camera job there some years ago & got to see all the action... one jump only though lol! :D

We went yesterday it was fantastic, really exciting and made up for not being able to go to Badminton!
Unfortunately we can't go for the showjumping this afternoon but I'm certainly going to watch it on the Pau site (I hope!)

Jumping has started, a hard course by the looks of things, 20 faults is not uncommon, 10 left to go , Oliver has finished, weather grey and overcast, the surface looks wet.
Lucy a Newzealander had the worst luck, her horse turned one way and she turned the other poor girl, she was going well.
Verona is on FEI TV so things are a bit hectic, back soon!

12 for William, the going was abysmal, looks like Andreas has won, coming up from 3rd

William very gracious in post ride interview, speaking in French again today ,very happy with his horse, and mentioned the difficult terrain, which as I said, was more like a swimming contest than a round of showjumping.

Now back to Verona World Cup, Shutterfly is clear and its my favourite commentator too!

Hi Joanne,

Thanks so much for the commentary! Such a shame about William, but it sounds as if the conditions were horrendous. Pity that Jasper didn't get through the vetting this morning, Sharon will be gutted!

Both the XC & SJ seemed to have caused carnage and I wonder if that's a good thing - I can't recall seeing so many problems at a 4*. Let's hope that the course designer(s) learn from this!

Do you live in France, or are you just visiting? I lived in Alsace many years ago but haven't been back to France for a while - I miss speaking French and I seldom have the opportunity in the UK!

Best wishes,
Sue
