I know lots of people who train with him and have sent him horses for schooling and rate him very highly, have been to some lecture demos with him and he is v good. He has a website.
Definitely ask in Competition Riders, I'm pretty sure there are quite a few people who train with him.
Mmmmm honestly... he sits there like King of the Ladyboys at the top of the school. Your lucky... if he doesn't have a harem of dribbling women sitting around him he may even step into the arena with you and impart his wisdom. For me personally.... having someones mere presence does not teach you how to ride. His skill as a teacher did not impress me... but maybe if you stick with it (which I didn't I went about 5 times) and he maybe thaws then you will learn something. In my experience being able to ride/be successful yourself does not make you a good instructor.... You have to be concsious of what you do as a rider to be able to pass that on. Which many successful riders are not. They just ride
My personal experience and I am sure people will disagree. Do not always be impressed by a name. p.s the yard has an unhappy air about it.... lots of dark barns etc... but whatever floats your boat. Not mine.
