Does anyone have any experiences / opinions.

My saddler has left me one to try, which fits both me and the pony nicely and is very comfy, but I just want to find out more about them before I make any decisions.

Thanks!

I have known Paul for years, although I have never owned one of his saddles, one of my liveries did. She had reason to wonder whether the tree was sound (circumstances beyond her control) and he went out of his way to help - he said if any of his saddles have a broken tree he would replace it (the tree) FOC. He developed a new style tree many years ao and clearly feels it is indestructable.

It's a plastic tree, my saddler said. Less chance of warping? It's certainly beautifully soft and incredibly comfy and I only want it for hacking and pleasure.

Good to know that he has faith in his workmanship then and is prepared to put his word to it.

My saddle is a Paul Jones,
I got mine second hand off a lady i know and both me and her love it.. she was gutted when her horse filled out and it no longer fit.

That's good to hear. Have you had it a while?

Although this one is second hand it doesn't look like it's ever been on a horse and it's half what I'd pay for a new one.

i bought my 5 year old around 14 months ago and got the saddle a couple of weeks after getting him.. mine was the same, looked brand new and still does.
My boy is filling out now so looking to get a new saddle but would 100% get another paul jones if one was available.. it cleans up lovely too.

My first saddle for my first pony was a Paul jones it cost as much as the pony did back in 1989 it was the best saddle ever looked immaculate forever was so comfy fitted her perfectly. Unfortunately when she was on loan the loaner was conned out of it by an unscrupulous saddler!!!! Have always wanted another but couldn't find where to get one.

Brill... Now I just need to convince my husband that it's what is required!

I have to say I am in love with its softness and the fact that it fits little me so snugly as well as the pony. As I have it on trial I'm planning a longer hack tomorrow.

I loved my Paul Jones..I had it made to measure for my then 4 year old and was soooo fed up when he outgrew it..Lovely saddle and looked as good as new when i sold it two years later..I would deffo have another one..
