Can anyone recommend boots that stay on and give traction for use in agility?

My dog is now 8 and the only sign of his age is a callous behind one front paw that opens up. We only do agility once a week, strictly for his fun. He loves it but the only speed he wants to do is flat out! I can slow him down but don't want to rain on his parade. Unfortunately the surface is quite aggressive. Hoping to find a boot I can use occasionally to protect the callous but still allow him to enjoy himself, he gets so excited on a Monday evening then mopes when he realises we aren't going. Anyone have any recommendations please?

I’d talk to your agility trainer before investing in boots, as many won’t allow a dog on equipment wearing boots etc. Mostly due to insurance in case the dog gets injured from the boot getting caught on equipment. Same reason why you are only allowed flat collars, and not harnesses.
