So after she reared 4 times while I was saluting the judge, I decided the Instant Magic wasn't working...
My pony is a bit mad, probably what makes her so fast, but she is now bordering on psychotic when we go to events. She is fine at home but I suspect because I get so over excited when competing, she picks up my adrenaline... Pax has been suggested - has anyone tried this? Does it work???

Tried Rescue remedy, Bach remedies, Magnesium, etc, and she still hasn't calmed down...

Hi,

I use Pax because I am a nervous rider and obviously my horse picks up on this. As far as I know putting Pax on your wrists is supposed to block your adrenalin which is what the horse picks up on. I have used it a few times and my horse did seem 'calmer', she can be very faffy with her head which has been put down to nervousness/mine and hers. Give it a go you have nothing to lose, except of course £18/£20 which is the cost. Good luck, hope it helps.

Yes it is brilliant stuff! I used it for my totally unhandled yearlings and they are like pussy cats now! Even my husband who was very dubious admitted it works a treat. His adult horse is all over him when he uses it. I find a tiny bit on both hands and the forehead is all I need on me.

Well, I think I'll try it.... Won't get any in time for sunday, which is the first qualifier with shettie, but may be here by wednesday to try with Leo prior to going cubbing - its the pony club meet, and those poor kiddies probably don't need my rampaging warmblood falling over them while I'm trying to get on!!
Will post on here when I have tested it. Out of interest, does anyone know HOW it works and what it contains?
