How much should you pay them?

Someone at my yard has offered to school my horse for me a few times over Christmas as she's getting out of hand since my hip decided to give up on me  I'm also hoping this person will take her to a few competitions for me in the New Year if I can get transport sorted (and if she has time). This person isn't qualified but she's a nice, quiet but firm rider and has just started working for a local eventer as her crash test dummy.

£10-15 an hour for the schooling and something like £20-30 a day for competing depending on number of classes etc. I think the hourly rate goes out the window for competing if you're giving someone the opportunity to compete, which I would do for free if I could compete! :o

I used to some times get a pro SJ to ride my horse at BS, he would charge £15 per class you keep prize money, he could be jumping many difo horses in alot of classes though so it's not like he would rock up to do 1 clas for me for that price if that makes sense
