Payment for yard work...

expecting payment (especially when terms weren't specified )less than 48 hours later when you know they've been away is a bit unreasonable. Especially on a Sunday when they may have other things going on.
I'd expect it within a week .
I don’t agree. If the work has been done, money should be paid. It’s very easy and only takes a few seconds to do a bank transfer.

^^^ This. If she were there when I was then I would expect cash before I left, or I have had some payments within 48 hours. But then I was a business, with accounts and paying tax. Cash in hand means it is all unofficial so rules are sporadic, I guess.

Funny how she had time to write a long write up of her competition on FB yesterday, thanking her friends and sponsors, but didn’t have 30 seconds to do a bank transfer.... I’ve done one when I was out hacking, or walking the dogs, it’s not difficult

ETA - oh just read the UI comment - she was “away” for less than a day, she was at home all day yesterday.

Put her on your ' never work for her again list ', it will grow believe me.
Its hard to chase money when it's not invoiced but keep sensing messages.
'you appear to have forgotten to transfer my money, could this be done as soon as possible'
Also offer to pop in and collect cash, if that does not work just appear and say you are there to collect your money.
I hate chasing money so will not work for bad payers.
