Just had a phone call from my daughter (Rosie's Mum) - she won her section!!! She was in third before the SJ today so went 3rd from last and apparently had one down so they thought they'd blown it. But then the other 2 had faults and Rosie won because her XC was closer to the time than the the person who was second. Not sure of the details because they were dashing off to the prize giving - yay.
Hope the others who were mentioned in the thread last night have done well too

Tell her well done - I think I saw her spectating at Downhouse last weekend at the Gosling Cup, I was there watching

Quite likely H_J - she's been on the Gosling Cup team in the past but is too old now (imagine being too old at 16

). Aimee C - they were in the Open. Well done to your team, it's a very hotly contested competition and the winning team must be quite some riders I think

Thank you - just been talking to her and she's bubbling over. She won a rosette, a sash and 2 days training with one of the team selectors - don't know who. Apparently the person who was 5th went clear SJ so was then equal (but R was closer to the optimum time XC) then the 2 who were 2nd and 3rd both had 2 down.
Haha re Olympics but thanks for the encouragement. Rosie is going to the RC Championships, I think with the bay (riding test) and the grey (SJ) but she's a junior, so will be competing on the Sunday I understand. I'm planning to go and watch at the moment and it would be lovely if we do meet.

Brilliant result, well done!

Our branch came 9th in the Intermediate event so we're all really pleased as its a big achievment for our small branch to get to the champs let alone placed!

Yes - he's the spotty boy in my avatar. Thanks for congrats everyone (on Rosie's behalf). She'll enjoy reading all your posts when she gets a chance
