PC ODE question

hi, im doing an Open ODE at the weekend, run by the PC, and its going to be under PC eventing rules.
i thought i had better just remind myself of them, and i have a question about spurs. It says you wil need DC's permision which this year i do not have. However it is an open ODE so not everyone will be PC members and there is no age limite, therefore im thinking that it wont matter anyway?
just suddenyl panicked as i will be no where without a pair of small spurs

I'm afraid you still need permission from your DC if you are in the PC. If you have had it before could you not email your DC and ask them to give you a permission slip and pick it up on sunday morning.

Did you tel them that you are in the PC on your entry form? If not how will they know? You also dont need one if you have got your B test. Otherwise hope you manage to get one!

you just need to get the spurs bit on the back of your memb card signed by the DC. If you have B test the red felt is sufficient.

PC's are really hot on spurs permission these days., Also take the permission card to XC and SJ as we have been sent back from these before even though they have been checked at dressage.

if u hav b test its ok but if not then unless the tack check isnt strict, u cannot use them

Are you a pony club member and or are you under 25?

If your not a member of the Pony Club then I would say you can use your spurs.

But if your a member of a branch then B test or DC letter to wear them.

From what you say its a open section open to non member if it is I can't see how they can asked for a DC letter cus the DC of local branch can't sign for a non Member.

If not ring up Sec and asked

wel problem is the PC will not even know me this year, as i have been to no rallys, and our DC ghas changed! argh there is really no point in my going without being allowed to wear them as through trial and error the last fe months i really need them for the sj, and she is being a lazy sod in the dressage atm:S
i think i shall have to give them a ring.
i do not have a B test either!
I went to this ODe last year and can never remember them asking about spurs!!

well i have just rung and i havent been accpeted anyway so now i guess i wont be doing anything this weekend
