peanut butter and hormonal mares

No response in Tack Room so posted here too! :)

After speaking to my vet yesterday about regumate and a marble etc.
He mentioned last year they discovered peanut butter seems to have an affect!
I think they put it in the back end not feed it to them!
Hes going to get me some more info but anyone else heard if this?

Why/how does it work?

Sorry prob not the answer you are looking for but I'm a hormonal mare currently and eating peanut butter on a teaspoon out of the jar helps me

Never heard of it for real mares though - interesting - maybe I could give some to my actual hormonal mare?!!

Sorry - really not making fun on OP (please dont take offence!) but this thread made me LOL! (strange looks from workmates!) that is soooo funny mistaking peanut butter for the oil.... imagine the poor horses face having peanut butter smeared all over her private bits!!! LOL LOL LOL!
