I have a 16 year old Appyx Arab, she has the tip of both front pedal bones tipping up, Vet thinks it’s a concussion thing , have tried glue ons and equip and now back to steel shoes and equipak, had thermal imaging done recently , showed up abnormal heat / inflammation on both hind cannon bones, Vet thinks maybe Bute or anti inflammatory cream for this. I’ve never had experience of either before has anyone got any advice please .

Could you post photos OP, some very knowledgeable people here who might throw some light on your problem but hard to do that without anything to look at.

can't seem to post the X-rays as they are attachments, The X-ray shows the tip of the pedal bone curving upwards.
worse on the off fore.

Ok, like a ski tip then. Can't see the photo but this presentation is linked to sub clinical laminitis. As she's shod you won't know there has ever been a problem, as its sub clinical.

In itself the ski tip isn't causing pain, it's historical. Keep the sugar low in her diet (feed like a laminitic) and see if this helps. Wish I could see X-ray as foot balance may also be a factor.

Not sure about the canon bone part.
