Pedometer for horses?

I really want to stick a pedometer on my horses to see how much they’re moving as we’re about to put some track in and I want to compare.

Does anyone have any suggestions of the best type to buy and how best to attach it to the horses ?

What an exciting idea.i want to do it now.

I think I'd start by fastening a normal cheap pedometer onto over reach boots.If you only want to compare it needs to be reliable but not actually accurate.

I know someone who uses an apple tag to track her horses, not sure if that might have data on how far they've moved.
