I was just browsing eBay for a myler snaffle and came across a Pee Wee bit. I have never seen one before and am curious to know whether anyone has used one, and what they thought?

Yes Ive used one. After reading all the hype I thought it was the answer to all our problems .... it wasnt!
My horse has a tongue habit/vice in which he almost constantly draws his tongue back, weve tried everything going and I saw this. He didnt like it at all, leant on it and I had no brakes and he isnt normally too strong. It is like a very thin mullen mouth really. As for the different settings, I only used the correction one but cant imagine how on earth the curb setting would work.
If you do decide to try it then Id hire it first from shop4bits, thats what I did and sent it back the week after.

I cant say Im tempted to try one, I was just curious to hear if anyone had

MY sister has one for her shirexclydesdale and thinks it is wonderful. The horse has a very thick tongue, a very short, wide and fleshy mouth. She found a french link too much to cope with and was opening her mouth and turning to evade, was "fussy" in her mouth, hanging on the bit and head shaking. This has all stopped, she has tried hanging on it a bit, but can't manage it the same! Brakes and steering are now much better and the horse is much happier in it. She looks to put the bit in her mouth, which she was not doing before and was head shy when se got her, we think because the bit she had was too short.

I tried it as well for my horse who gets very strong i.e. no brakes

when doing fast work or jumping. My instructor was completely horrified when I got it out to show her but we tried it a couple of times and I have to say I didnt like it. My horse is quite highly strung and it permanently felt like we were on the edge of a tantrum each time I touched the reins. In the end I have gone with a Neue Scheule waterford universal and it is brilliant.
