has anyone used these bits as my previous post i am having problems with my horse and someone has suggested this or a myler bit but not sure which one to try

I posted a similar question recently and had mixed responses, so I ordered one on trial from the bit shop. My experience in this area is somewhat limited but when I got it and showed the owner at my yard she said she thought it a very severe bit which in the wrong hands could cause huge problems. I've decided not to go with it. I would recommend getting one on trial if you really want to give it a go.

we tried one on Lyric because she has such a thick tongue and fleshy mouth, she just seemed to be a bit uncomfortable in her snaffle. Sami hated it, she felt like she had no control whatsoever and Lyric just constantly evaded the bit, something she doesn't normally do.

I have one, been using it for about 3 months just for hacking, and the best I can say is it hasn't made him any worse.
It came with the tiniest little diagram of how to use it, so I have only managed on the mildest ring so far. On this attachment it is basically a mullen mouth snaffle and I can't say I have had the miracle answer I have been waiting for!

I tried one but sent it back after trying it. The outer rings seemed to twist outwards when you took up any contact and worst of all my horse had no brakes what so ever (it was like riding in a headcollar). The best I can say for it was that the horse didnt even attempt to get her tongue over it (which she was doing all the time in a pelham, kimblewick, snaffle). I subsequently got a short shank myler combination bit and its working really well - no tongue so I know the horse is happy and she has reasonable brakes!

Glad its still going well oldmare, Ive still got problems
I tried this bit the same time as oldmare and have to agree that I felt like I had no control, he did seem happier at first but then went back to his tongue habit, the rings twisted outwards and I cant imagine how the poll action would work as theres no leverage. I sent it back too.
