quick question on the ford cargo (im gonna sound like a woman now!) only just got it, so here goes:
its a "B" plate, so quite old, but what kind of oil do you use in yours and behind the tilt cab where you put the oil in there is a white container now im assuming you fill that with water??? (or half water half anti freeze?) i could ring a mechanic i know but feel stupid!
i should have asked at the time of buying but just didnt think!
sorry to be so dumb!

I use a cheap diesel multigrade 15w40.Dont use a modern high spec semisynthetic oil as it will make your engine smoke. They are a bit like shetlands, they dont do well on a fancy rich diet. :D You are right to add antifreeze with water . About30% is good.Fill to the lower cap level. Incidentaly, Mikes top tip of the day. On an old lorry ,get your mechanic to change all the hose jubilee clips. They gradualy corrode away and the first thing you know is when it dumps all the water out on the road and you have a breakdown. They cost pence!
