heya am looking for a pelham in a french link, only problem is that it needs to be rubber coated/synthetic stuff happy mouths are made from.. does such thing exist? Link can be metal. Horse not reacting very nicely to jointed so i really if possible need in french link form

Bear in mind that jointing a pelham undermines the whole action of the Pelham, as it stops the curb etc coming into effect!!

Having said that, weve used one....:-)

I've only heard of steel or vulcanite ones, but not sure if I've seen a jointed one in vulcanite TBH

I would try a straight bar one, first. My mare detested a jointed bit and instantly relaxed when I put a straight bar in. However I'm sure I've seen a vulcanite Pelham with a lozenge or French link in, so they must do them!

As stated i do /not/ want a straight bar, if i buy and she hates i will not be getting my full money back when i sell because it's been used.
And as stated they are more likely to let her run through, as the joint negates the curb action, but I am sure you know best and do not need or want the advice.

Well no not with the jointed because she currently has a jointed snaffle on, again not reacting with the breaks of how much i'd LIKE her too while with the french link it was much better but her snaffle they don't sell in french link style.
But thats the case with a jointed one too surely? What about a happy mouth type straight bar?

And as stated they are more likely to let her run through, as the joint negates the curb action, but I am sure you know best and do not need or want the advice.

Never stated i did not want or need the advice, but too be honest i was simply asking a question in the original post, not to be given another bit style to try.

Try talking to the BitBank. Explain the issue you are trying to solve and they will recommend a bit for you to try. The bit they recommended works wonders for me. (Myler lozenge link kimblewick)
