Pelvis problems

My friends mare has an obvious problem wiht her pelvis. Both her farrier and my trimmer have commented on the way she wears her feet and that she should get a back person out. Anyway, the mare has been on and off stiff in the bank end and I have told her she needs to get her looked out.

What id like to know is what problems can you get in the pelvis and are they easily fixed? My friend thinks a quick visit from the chiro and she will be right as rein. Is that true?

Mine had a hair line fracture of the pelvis when he was 4. He has to be kept in regular work now so his muscles hold him level behind. If he has time off he gets a bit wonky behind again. I also have a sports massage for him every 8 weeks to keep everything supple.
