Basicly she has been a star. She has done and seen much more than I ever expected at this VERY early stage. She is now accepting of the dogs, has seen HUGE tractors and silage wagons being tipped up (and she carried on grazing as if its happened every day of her life!) She walks well from BOTH sides, and I can pick up 3 of her feet easily, the off hind is still flappy but Iam sure it won't take long. She ties up in the stable, sometime protests but then chills out and stands like an old pro. She is eating well and drinking when she hasn't thrown her little trough about! She loves drinking out of the garden bird bath (and tries to get in it - so funny!) She is accepting of the children causing chaos and doesn't mind them rushing about behind her or waving branches about during their 'war battles'!
She has seen sheep, and helped herd the loose cows.... it feels like she should be older than her 6 months. She just walks where I say so and stops when I say so. Yesterday she jumped off all fours in mid play while grazing, but it only lasted a nanoo second!!! She has seen Meg and Juno, gave then a call, Juno called back and then she followed me and came away from them. We have opened and closed really akward gates with banging and clattering and shock horror has also got her leg over the lunge line in my 'dim' moment. She stopped and waited for me to rescue her without a worry in the world.
So very pleased (I do know that more work is needed in the stable to get her to stop trying to jump out through the mesh grill when we leave - but totally understandable). She is going out in the field tomorrow with Juno for sure and will see how things work out regarding introducing Meg.
Yayy for little Penny foaly features!! BIG SMILES.
