I used to keep my tricky horse on a purely DIY yard where people seemed to be very free with their opinions abd advice
..... even though nobody was prepared to get on the beast.
I then moved onto a yard that was either part or full livery as he needed a routine that DIY couldn't give him ie. not being turned out first. The people on this yard were of a more professional (in career, not riding) ilk and in all my time there, they never seemed to pass judgement or comment on others riding
.
Maybe I just hit lucky there but you couldn't wish to meet a nicer, more helpful bunch of people

Do you always find that with horses people always have to get there 2 pennies in even when you dont need to hear it, or you are trying your best.

Yep. Especially on forums. I find that even when people don't ask for opinions or advice they still get them. I think it would be fine if it's helpful and constructive, but a lot of the time it seems like some competition to prove who knows the most... or thinks they know the most.

I have actually given up posting on the American boards after having some idiot from Bug Creek screaming at me to go get a vet that knows what they are doing!!! Read the bloody post love!
