People from Warrington :)

Ooh, i live in runcorn (Preston brook marina!), horses are in daresbury (near sandymoor) at the mo, but moving them to frodsham next week (near the forest hills) :-)
No idea about hacking near you but hi!

I'm in croft, so just down the road from you :-) I dont really hack mine out much around there as it all road work and my horse is very sharp. I tend to box them up and take them to tatton or Somerford.

Nokia- have you tried Tori Peters? She's my instructor and she's really good. She has a website that should come up if you google her.

I used to be in Croft - was there for years so still have lots of friends there. I think a lot of them are on 4faults yard now!

hi all!!!

i used to ride on croft lessons i mean lol!

and my instructors a dressage one ill ask how much her lessons are :)

well she does it all really but she likes her dressage!

i love the yard its just so big haha!

Hi, Im about move to liverpool as my husband has got a job in the city we'll will be living down by in woolton (south liverpool) sorry to hijack but ive been desparately looking for livery around the warrington/ runcorn/ daresbury/ tarbock / st helens area and having a really hard time!

Does anyone know of any good yards in the area- must have year round turn out, separate fields for mares/ geldings. Pref part livery but would do diy if close enough, need to have at least a decent sized outdoor school.
Have looked at Willow park- fab but full, New House Farm in daresbury- fab but full, Bold Heath - too big (have a strong dislike - calling up the girl was pretty rude on the phone, which was unnecessary), patterns- a bit rough and mixed herd, - tarbock green dont do livery, halsnead- diy but dont open until 8.30 am so impossible with work, lodge only full and close at 6.45pm-so again impossible with work, dye house farm- no turn out at all for 5 months in winter. Croft is a bit far. So really looking anywhere between liverpool/ warrington/ m6. or could go over the bridge towards daresbury, but tarporley etc is too far....

So if anyone can think of any yards in the area please please please let me know! I wouldnt mind just a couple of stables on a farm or a small yard without facilities if it was really close. Ive got two geldings, an aging id x who is pretty much retired but i have an occasional bimble about on, and a 6 yr old ISH who i am bring on to hopefully get out and about this year bsja, but really we're supposed to be moving at the end of november- so my pickiness decreasing somewhat with time!

So sorry to hijack again, i'll post a new thread if you'd like, but i just thought as everyoneo on here is local they maybe able to help- pm me if you prefer to keep the thread for the op!

Thanks so so so much!!

hi delphs pretty good they have people that will do full livery or you can do it yourself. have a indoor and a massive out door 60x40 i think (internation rubber sized) then we have a working hunter ring and a hacking track that goes around the geldings feilds.

seperate feilds for mares and gelding all year turn out (come in of a night)

pretty goo should come down and have A look :)

I've just moved to latchford a few weeks ago but am horseless at the moment so can't help.

Hi I used to live in Latchford I was there for 3 years until August- now I live in Sandymoor lol!! And my horses are up the road in Hatton !! Are you looking for something to ride ?? I might be able to help

hope the move goes well - hacking will be better over that way

Wrong side of Waz for me though OP - I get lost going any further than the giant Tesco's

Sullypony

Northfield Riding Centre is about a 5min drive from Willow Park, they do full livery, indoor/outdoor/xc, horse walker, mares/geldings turned out seperate.

Hi Sully Pony - You could try Daresbury equestrian center - or Joanne Shaw both have websites, split m&G fields, fair sized schools and good motorway links, I don't think either are overly expensive

There is also Hatton stables which is just around the corner from New House farm but no website

did you try llooking on the wirralhorse or the cheshirehorse websites they have good listings

Hi all. I'm in Warrington too. Used to be stabled in Croft but horse is near Knutsford now. I learnt to ride at Croft Riding School 30 something years ago! Anyone remember Maureen and Janet and Ken and Wendy Windmil??!! Cheshire not the best for hacking IMHO and Croft is terrible, despite it being quite horsey. There's plenty of places to pay to ride but Taton doesn't charge does it? And is ok. Whitegate Way is good. Are there any places in Lymm?

Tatton park was £3 per horse when I used to live out that way and you have to be very mindful of the deer - flight animals and all that !

Lymm is lane work or the Trans penine trail but you can't access all of it on horse back - delamere is fab

4 faults - which yard in croft - i used to be on one there, then moved :)

pm if preffered :)

Try Fosshey Stables, not far from Warrington. Nice people, newly re-surfaced outdoor school, mini farm ride in the Summer and the hacking is lovely.

Hi sully pony have you tried Clifton hall farm in Runcorn junction 12 M56 turn off. Large Brick Stables, all year turnout , separate mares and gelding, rubber menage plus lots more facilities it is a diy yard but you can always get help off people and it is quite reasonable money wise. Pm me if you need any contact nos
