i Had some horrid people come and look at my b oy yesterday they called him IT on several occaisions and c alled my pther horse THING this really rattled me andi asked them to leave why would yo do that? I would never look at some one elses horse and call it IT sorry for post bt it really frustrated me!xxxx

Bit rude unless they didn't know if he was a he or a she, although usually I'd expect buyers to spot gender pretty quickly!
Although I do call mine much worse than 'it' ;D

So do we & although we do call ours 'it' sometimes......usually we put a 'g' or an 's' & an 'h' in front of the 'it'!

I would be mortally offended if anyone called (his most royal highness) Little Black One 'it' though!

i know its different when it is your own horse but to have some one view your horse and call it it is horriblexxxx

No, I agree & I probably wouldn't have sold them the horse either!

I am always mortified if I accidentally call somebody's horse a 'he' when it's a 'she', never mind calling it an 'it'!

It does show I feel, a lack of interest in the horse itself as an individual being & of course, you don't have to sell your horse to anybody you are not 100% sure about & it's probably best not to do so, as you will only worry about it later!
