Sorry....just a quick thinking ahead question

I am partially thinking about doing a fun ride with my tb mare, my last fun ride was my first one and the one from hell. Now i have my new horse who is amazing i am considering doing another....although due to past injuries with her in her hind leg tendons i dont want to do a fun ride that is really boggy as a lot that are around here are.....so.....having passed the Cricket st Thomas one last year i thought that that could be a good one if it was all mainly fields etc rather than boggy woods.

Who on here has done it and if you have what is it like???

is the ground good ish??

do you have ne photos???

sorry question overload, just thinking ahead! want to try and do something with my mare if i can....if my confidence and faith in horses on fun rides allows me to!!! but want to keep her confort in mind....although she charges around boggy fields no probs so i prob wrap her in cotton wool!!!

Hi there skychick, I did the Cricket St Thomas fun ride in 2010 & I safely say it was the best one I've been on!
I've done about 20 probably, but that one is great. Not boggy, through parts on the parkland, some optional jumps near the end (which is sensible as they ALWAYS seem to put them right at the start when my boy would be far too excited!). You do (or did) have to go through two shallow large streams, but other than that it was varied, but nothing to be nervous of.
I have a couple of photos, but I'm not sure they help too much terrain wise, other than one shows one of the water bits..

Hope this helps, I will DEFINITELY be going this year!
