I really have wondered why ,and this is everywere ,at yards, schools, fields ,schools amongst friends, etc, why do people comment and know better than others and are quite vocal with it , when they havent got a clue /never owned/loaned/worked with a horse at all and never to your knowledge ridden
haha or is it just me pmsl

i know what you mean. its really annoying. i feel like shouting at them saying - you have no ******* idea about horses so what the **** are you talking about?! aha. i seriously dislike people like that tbh lol

It might just be you, actually! i've had plenty of unwelcome (and welcome!!) advice on yards, but i have never had advice from non-horsy people, in non-horsy situations. Maybe i just look too fierce....

sorry trundle, yknow people who hang round horses but dont ride or own them haha , i feel shocked with some of the things they come out with like offer free lessons <!> im having lessons off a bhsai hehe and listen in when you have proffesionals round in the industry i find it quite funny really, i would never dream of watching someone ride and offering lessons -even a lead rein beginner !Maybe thats just me but i would never interfere , but maybe its because i dont pass opinions and they think i know nothing, haha maybe i should become more opinionated

Yes theres a girl at our yard who has a horse and never goes near the thing and its obese and she told me my horse was fat!!! umm ok then :p and she said my horse has over reactive sweat glands because he was sweating in his stable on a warm day, oh and she tryed to give me and a friend a lesson on how to get my horse on the bit and jumping once haha it was amusing " dont let him see the jump!!!" um ok then how are we mean to jump it then

We have a footpath running along our field so there are lots of non-horsey people that pass by. I'm always getting asked why is my horse blindfolded (fly mask). One person even phoned me up worrying that my horse couldn't blink or swallow due to the fly mask (We have a list of phone numbers up to call in EMERGENCY only)!
