Utterly awesome, honestly I adore your reports! Ignore the chimp, 2* eventing just wow!

I do sympathise, my dream of the dizzying heights of top level dressage on my cart horse have my chimp laughing in hysterics, but still I plug on undeterred by the relentless self doubt.

You are doing a brilliant job and write about it so well, I'm always hooked by your reports and now look like a proper weirdo stalker of social media :o, but hey ho fantastic stuff :D.

I remember when I did my first 1*. I was a bit disappointed, but someone told me I had a qualifying score. "Qualify for what?" I asked. TBH just going round a CCI*was always going to be the pinnacle of my riding prowess!
 
Like it! I had forgotten about the 'chimp' ... mine has been playing havoc of late causing all sorts of problems... now I can get to work on quietening him down!

Yes - I had exactly the same reaction after my first CIC*. A Qualifying Result is all very well, but what am I qualified for?! Ah, how we live and learn.

A friend of ours introduced us to "The Chimp" book whilst on holiday - it is fair to say that I am completely governed by my chimp, so well done for keeping a lid on yours occasionally :)
 
Thoroughly enjoyed this and without knowing it or meaning to you've managed to restrain another pesky chimp who will silently be accompanying me and my horse on a ferry to compete in France! Thank you!

I bought a young horse last summer who I'm hoping to start eventing with, this just makes me really want to get going! Need to get him going through water first though... He'd be brilliant at XC if they got rid of the water!
 
As always an absolutely excellent report! I can't imagine having the balls to jump anything remotely that big, let alone doing more than one of them on a course!
