Emailed two sellers during last week about horses I really like the look of. I have asked basic simple questions not covered in ads and they haven't even bothered to reply.

They may have their horses which is great for them although a response wouldn't go amiss.

Lol if it was about a 13.2 mare in wilts....then the email I got forwarded was incorrect :)

But yes...annoying!

Have you tried calling?

This happened alot when i was looking for a pony for my daughter, i expect theyve already gone, i would email when i was trawling through late in the eveing then call if no reply and usually they would be sold/loaned but agree an email letting you know would be nice, rude not to. But thats people for you hey?!!

I always answer, if the horse they enquire about has gone I may have a similar one or know of one. :)

I also trawl the on-line ads for Wanted ads too, sold several horses and acquired Boarders that way too.

Not selling a horse but would always send a reply. I replied to a part share advert, 2 hours after it was placed on preloved - emailed and txt then when I hadn't heard after 2 days called and left voicemail didn't hear anything even though the advert was pretty much wrote for my capabilites.

One was a dealer and I also left a voicemail on mobile and other did have a contact number but with email address being in ad you'd think they would check them so, no I haven't rang.

I can't understand why a dealer would not bother to reply to a message or email, even if the horse had sold I would of expected him to tell you about any other horses he has that you might be interested in..

Selling a horse you tend to get lots of very silly emails asking such novicey questions that they must be kids and other scam emails asking you to send the horse abroad.. If the emails made sense and asked somthing that wasn't stated in the advert I'd always reply

I do try and reply to all the e-mails I get when selling a horse. However I recently sold a nice RC horse and I was in on dated with e-mails form him when he was advertised and some of the e-mails just didn't even warrent a reply including some that had obvuiously not even read the advert properly and although he was advertised detailing some vices that wouldn't be suitable for a novice (not just by stating not novice ride) I would get some numtpies asking if he would be suitable for their daughter's first horse, who had been learning to ride at a riding school for 6 months... er no
Swings and roundabouts I'm afraid.

Voicemail?! What's that?! mine must drive people mad, as or some reason it never tells me I have got it so last time i checked I had 36 new messages.
