I think less experienced or first time owners have a tendency to panic at the first sign of trouble or the horse doing something a bit out of the ordinary and just want it off their hands. Things that would be relatively easy to deal with when you know a horse inside out are more difficult when you are just getting to know each other.
The longer you own horses and the more horses you own you learn that many of these things can be resolved with time and patience or that it’s just a phase that soon passes. Most bumps in the road can be overcome, but it’s daunting until you’ve gained the experience, knowledge and confidence to know where to start.
