I have started to feed winergy condition to my horse and was advised to feed 4kg a day! How many scoops is this as, on a price basis, we were working with around 2.5kg a day which would already strech the budget slightly... This was on the basis of 5 days a week lungeing/schooling for a 15.2hh - does anyone else feed it and how much do you feed?

Laura. :)

I feed winergy low energy, to my 4 16hh,15.2hh,15hh and at the moment 13.2hh but still growing. The 16hh has 2 scoops + 1 scoop apple chaff in 2 feeds plus hay and the 15hh gets 2 scoops in morning but 2 scoops + large scoop apple chaff in evening, he was poor when I first bought him so have brought him on slowly. The 15.2hh and the 13.2hh have 1 scoop + 1 scoop of apple chaff plus hay twice a day. The 13.2hh was in very poor condition when I bought him last year and I didn't want to pile lots of weight on him too fast, in fact the problem at the moment is trying keep him from putting too much on, but hope to back this spring.:)

I feed my TB 2 scoops a day (which is roughly 2kg) and my cob x 1.5 scoops a day plus a balancer and they both look absolutely great on it alongside good quality haylage. It is really good stuff but there's no way either of mine would eat the levels recommended on the bag - I spoke to Winergy about this and they said the amounts could be roughly halved but I would need to add vitamins if I was feeding less than 2kg a day.

Through last winter my TB was slightly underweight on a different feed so I started her off on about 3kg of this a day and the weight soon increased, 2kg a day seems to maintain her weight and if we ever get any grass I will cut her down to a scoop a day plus balancer.

Mine is on the low energy, and to start with was being fed 3kg a day. This is 4 stubbs scoops. However, I found that quite expensive! So I have cut it down to 2 scoops a day with 1.5scoops a day of allen and page fast fibre alongside it, as that is also a balanced feed. :)

Just thought I'd say that the different versions all weigh differently, so 3 scoops of the Low Energy won't weigh the same as the Condition. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but thought it relevant
