What do you put on them when its raining?

My welsh has it last year he was really bad but this year i have managed to control it by putting a snuggy hood on him 24/7 but when its raining it gets soaked through so makes him cold, same with fly rug so just wondered what everyone else did when it was raining? Left him in just turnout but know in morning he will be itching like mad

hiya, i put the fly rug under a lightweight turnout rug when i know the weather is a bit rainy, then take the turnout off when its hot

Did put fly rug under lightweight turnout but seems to take ages to dry and worry may make him cold do you have turnout with neck rug?

You want to buy a rambo sweetitch hoody. My mare lives in hers and you can now buy a waterproof liner to fix underneath when it's raining. It's a total god send and wouldn't be without it

I think the snuggy hoods sweet itch rugs are horrible. :(

I used to have a boett when I had a SI horse: he dried off as quickly as a naked horse would with the sun/breeze etc.

Personally I'd just say go for a lighter weight sweet itch blanket next time you have to replace it.
