People with dressage type stirrup leathers...

.. how do you put them up so they don't scratch your saddle? At the moment, I have to sling each stirrup over the seat and it marks it a bit. Is there a magic trick I don't know? Mine are webber type dressage leathers with the T-bar fastenings.
 
I have the Jeffries leathers and they have a hole near the top on its own for you hook the T bar into when not in use.

I don't unhook them from the usual hole, but put the t bar in that hole which then leaves the stirrups at about the right postion.

Sorry quite difficult to explain so not sure if it is clear.
 
I always take them off my saddle especially beneficial in winter when my irons get wet sand off the school all over them.

Takes no time at all and my saddle never gets horrible marks ;-)
