I have recently bought a Percheron yearling from France, being quite a rare breed I don't actually know anyone with one, does anyone have one or other more rare heavy breeds? what do you with them? pictures???

here is a picture of Cal, my huge girly pants from tonight, yes he is only 15 months

The Percherons are a popular breed in France. I imported a Normandy Cob as a foal but sadly he is no longer with us. My friend has comtois and they are so friendly and comfy to ride.

I've had my Percheron for c. 5 years, he's now rising 12. Bought him as a happy hack for my husband. After a break from riding due to work commitments I am just bringing back into work with a view to doing fun rides and a bit of dressage with him.

OP, Have you contacted The British Percheron Horse Society? There are several French imports, along with horses from the UK and Canada. They are a very welcoming group of people. Their website is www.percheron.org.uk.

Your lovely boy appears to be uncut...will you be keeping him entire?

Sorry this is bothering me, SultanaRama - Somehow is one word. It's GLUTTON for punishment. Gluten is a substance present in cereal grains.
