Perfect arena

Hi, I am building a new school I had a sand arena before but ave moved house now n I can't decide weather r not to put sand down again or use shredded rubber? Advice plz

i would go for a mix of both!!.. i find the sand annoying when very wet or very dry.. and rubber can help to space it out, but then, so the rubber doesnt fling everywhere

or,, that lovely sandy stuff with like fibrey bits in

you have to have sand under the rubber, you can't just have rubber on the base, i am positive of this. 4" of sand is the norm...

2nd that. Never use just rubber. Must have 100mm sand base and no more than 50mm of Rubber.
