Hi all!

I'm lazily looking for a nice (but not more than £150) dressage snaffle bridle for my Spanish boy, so

1) what's your idea of a perfect bridle?
2) what do you think suits Spanish types?

I'm drooling over traditional Portuguese tack but it's really unlikely to be dressage legal, is it. oh well.
Any ideas and suggestions?

My Iberian x wears a Jeffries Wembley snaffle bridle for 'best'. It is quite thin and delicate so suits his handsome head. I don't think Iberians look right in anything too chunky. I think he is wearing it in my picture here -

I would go for black flat hunter style but with decorative brass buckles on it :) For this from the lady who made mine MTM english leather you would be looking at around the £100 mark I don't think she would be anymore than that...

I have a MTM raised padded with fancy stitching on the browband and noseband. This is it :) Please excuse the flash strap being on the wrong way round :o

I like this one

although currently we are in a libbys:)

One of my Spanish boys has a Sue Carson comfort snaffle, as he has hysterical moments with things touching the backs of his ears. The other one has an Equus bridle with a v shaped browband as he has a wide 'forehead' and is well cut behind the ears. one problem was actually getting a good fit - full size browbands needed, but cob size nosebands!
funnily enough, one is a mouth opener and leaner, and he has a pony size drop noseband........ (he is the one on loan and thats not his only problem!)

Hollysmum, your horse has such a cute face! adorable :) and mmmm, decorative brass buckles!!! I can see it now :) will have a look around!
Headpiece, I was actually eyeing this one up recently - looks pretty lush! Has anyone seen these FSS bridles in person, are they really decent quality?
thespenishmane, are equus nice quality bridles? had my eyes on them too.

Do you think a Spanish horse would look too kitschy in patent leather?

Can't open the FSS link, but I think I know what bridle it is anyway :p One I looked at for my lad I think (although he's not spanish :p). I did buy a FSS bridle in the end and it's lovely! :)

My fiends andi wears the sarbre cordoba with the chain link browband and we all think he looks very hansome!
