My Cushings boy has 1.5mg of Pergolide a day and my routine is to pop them in a little bit of water to soak them and syringe them in with some High Fibre Nut puree ....

Well today, just as I was about to prepare it, I noticed that there was 2 1/2 tablets soaking .... so I nearly dosed him with 2.5mg .... I hope that it would have harmed him, but I would have been devastated if I had ....

Anyone else done this, or is it just me .... would it have harmed, do you think?

Unless you are a Dark Angel I think you may want to edit your post!

I did manage to give Jamie's dose to the horse in the next door stable one morning.
It lived.

No its not a problem!
you can dose a horse with pergolide up to 5mg! (if necessary!) so you have just given him a higher dose today than normal!
he may get squitty poo or go off his food slightly. But he will not keel over and die from it!
Just keep and eye on it!

I don't know re the possible overdosing - what does the bumpf on the leaflet/box say?
