Just had a rescue bitch handed in. One that has ben waiting but I had no space/owner wanted to come at awkward times.

This bitch is being rehomed because she "never leaves the other dog along, keeps grbbing his head.
(Also she pees in the house)

Turns out they surrender-er "rescued" this bitch as an older puppy then bought a male of the same breed (neither registered.) The bitch had a litter before Christmas but only two of the puppies lived. Person was adamant they went to experienced owners -I pointed out that experienced people would not buy puppies that should never have been bred.

Bitch sleeps in a crate & will go out to wee but doesn't ask to go out. People haven't tried teaching her to indicate just want rid.

Might it be something to do with her being about to come in season.

It least I made the person cry - for being part of the reason so many dogs need rehoming.

Its so sad how easily people will give up. It doesnt take a week to teach a dog to ask to go out! :(

If i had a big enough kennels and lots of money...

Another sad story where people treat their dogs as a financial commodity.

Lets hope she thinks twice before trying to breed after your talking to, and I do hope the dog finds a good home.

Sounds like she's in a better place, sad that they "rescued" her and then felt the need to use her for breeding rather than simply enjoy her companionship.

Update;-
Strongly suspect that instead of being on the way into season she is on the way out & if so may be pregnant.
Vet has been contacted and if she doesn't start bleeding next week she will be spayed as a precaution rather than waiting until her season is over.........

GRRRRR!
