My mare was diagnosed with Cushings early Sept after a surprise bout of lammi. She has been on 1mg of Peroglide since 12th Sept and has improved greatly in condition, demeanor etc. And has been back in light work and loving it! Since yesterday her appetite has gone and she seems depressed. Ive heard of the "peroglide veil" but wondered if nearly 4 weeks on this could be a possibility. Am waiting to hear back from my vet.

It might be that with reducing daylight hours she need her dose upped, the vets should re check her bloods after a few weeks on Pergolide anyway, I should check with your vet and ask if her blood should be tested again.

It could be pergolide veil. I wouldn't worry too much and give her a few days to see if she picks up again. It will normally lift on it's own. Only in a few instances where you'll have to lower the dose by say .25mg for a few days to shift it.

Have contacted vet prior to posting this so waiting to hear back and her 2nd blood test is next week anyway. Thanks for your replies x

My vet warned me about this but it never happened with my mare (to be fair though I think she would be on her back with 4 feet in the air before she stops eating, no-one told her she's TB X she thinks shes a highland pony)
