Any ideas why my girls ear mites haven't cleared up after 2 injections of dectomax? She lives out 24/7 so not a case of needing to treat stables, fencing is mostly electric tape with some hedges and trees on one side so nothing I think needs treating there, do they spread to her field mates and they should be treated or is it just another round of injections and cross fingers?

Has she definitely got ear mites, or is she being bitten by midges? You could try slathering her ears in zinc and castor oil cream - just coat the inflamed skin, obviously do not put it in the ear canal. This will put a sticky coating over any mites and suffocate them, as well as soothing the skin. My old cob often starts turn out with itchy, flaky ears. In his case it is midge bites setting up a reaction similar to sweet itch. The Z&C cream sorts it within a week.
