Personalised show rug!

Hi!
I want to buy my horse a fleece show rug in green with gold binding/piping n his show name embroidered on one/both sides. I've done some researching and everything I've found seem to be really expensive!
Any recommendations?!

Not sure if it's any help but Premier Equine have one for £22.99. It comes in green with gold piping & I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find somewhere to get your name embroidered on.

The embroidery is the expensive part. We had a lovely nag rags rug I bought off ebay embroidered as my daughter's Christmas present. OK we went a bit OTT and had pony's full name on one side (19 letters) and daughters name on the other side (10 letters) and it cost £40 for the embroidery alone.

Hollyhorse - DIY!!! You only need some stencils (or just copy freehand) of the letters you need. Buy a chunky needle and some embroidery silk (local craft shop) in the colour/s you want and away you go! Just use long (max about 1cm) stitches packed tightly together to "fill in" the lettering. You can let your imagination run riot! If its a big area to fill in, break it up into smaller stitches side by side. You may need a thimble if your horse's name is something like Thunderbum-the-fourteenth-Junior but hopefully it is HOLLY!!!!!! x
