Persuade me

My dad always told me to build a life you don't need a holiday from, so if you think this is what you will do then go for it.
Mum told me the same.

I'd do it.

We did.

You have to make sure your partner is 'in' fully as it will throw more difficulties at you to start with than you ever thought, and always at an inconvenient point.

We had beans on toast more times than I care to think. And baked potato and beans, pasta and a tin of tomatoes...

As we were here longer, things got sorted. We got into new procedures and learned as we went along. It was a family thing, to do horses (or couples in our case as we didn't have kids).

When Mr Red died, I had a little panic about weather I would be able to manage here. Happily, we had climbed out of the poverty era and I could pay someone to come and do the manual stuff.

I don't even do horses seriously any more, but love that they are outside the kitchen door. I love that I am in charge of when we can turn out.

We did it and have no regrets and now have bought more property… the worst scenario is a fire sale of your house … if that is something that wouldn’t leave you bankrupt then actually you only have the dream to lose and if you never push for the dream you will never achieve it…
