My horse had a sacroliaic injection last week, and I have been advised to use a pessoa when lunging to help build up his muscle, and use his hind properly. I went out and brought one, but it seems they dont come with instructions!

Does anyone have anything they could send me on how to use one correctly, I'm sure I could work out how to use it, but weather it would be correctly I have no idea!

Also if anyone has any tips on how best to use it for long and low work it would be very helpful, as it wasn't exactly cheap for a bunch of ropes! :)

This seems an ok video, shows where to attach the lines.

My mare is recovering from the same condition, she's had two sets of injections with plenty of physio and of course use lots and lots of pessoa work, shes back into full work and jumping again, I really think the pessoa has helped loads.

I use the long and low setting so rather than attaching the line back up to roller, attach it in between the legs. Make sure you horse and actively going forward rather than slopping along to really make the most of your session.

Good luck with your horse, hope he makes a speedy recovery. :)
