It really helped build up my horse who is a lazy beestie after he was ill with a recurrent virus and lost all the muscling in his back end, Im a fan! I have it pretty loose and no jabbing for us either.

Silverspring... you could probably find fault with every piece of tack that exists tbh and the horse only recieves jabs if it is fitted wrongly imo. And even if they do recieve very very slight jabs in the mouth, it can't be any worse than a rider asking for an outline and can't be as bad as being yanked in the mouth by a rider pulling up a horse after a gallop??

Ps not having a go at you just that article only highlights the negatives.

Gentle_warrior- get an eBay copy, less than half the price and do exactly the same.

I like mine, don't use it that often as would rather ride but expect I will use it more in winter.
