I seem to be getting very mixed views as to where the part that goes around the back legs should sit. Where do you fit yours, do you have it loose, medium or tight and where does it sit on your horse.
My youngster absolutely hates mine and I've given up trying to use it on him in the past but I really need to strengthen his back muscles before he is ridden but when I use it he bucks and bucks and today managed to actually buck the back part right off over his tail, never seen it done before. I would desciribe mine as sitting in the curve midway between his tail and hocks and medium fitted (Not loose not tight!).
He has a lot of problems with his back which are now sorted, I won't bore you with the whole story.
I am a tad disabled as my right hand has had surgery and I thought I'd start gentle stuff with him but it's just like watching a bucking bronc and not much fun, he has given me some loevely work in between his bouts of lunacy and I appreciate I'm almost going to have to work him through this problem.

Mine sits in exactly that curve too - Jack does try to run away from scary sheepskin monster to begin with but soon settles. I have seen others in the yard buck it right back over the top of their butt before.

Yep mine sits in the same curve too
