Hi i am looking for peoples opinions on if the pessoa system is better than the standard bungie training aid for training dressage or event horses? any help would be appriiated

I prefer Kerilli's far cheaper method myself! All you need are draw reins, put them over your horse's back, thread through the front legs and clip onto the bit, like this:

for me personally the bungie was useless! D knew he could do what he wanted as he was far stronger than the elastic and he took full advantage!

as above, I wish I could claim it as 'my way'... I learnt it from someone on here, and it is what Laura Bechtolsheimer lunges her horses in. good enough for me...
btw, you can do it to the lunge cavesson side rings, not even to the bit, it is even kinder then and just as effective.
I do the knot offset so it doesn't rub over the spine (i believe you can get adjustable draw reins though). i've never had it rub under the armpits, and every horse i've tried it on understands immediately.
if you're worried about it hanging a little low, thread the draw reins through a neckstrap. works brilliantly.

I wouldn't use a bungee, they just lean on it and there is nothing to keep the straightness. Kerilli's method looks interesting, think I will try it!
